Dr. Claudia Anderson

My name is Dr. Claudia Anderson. I am the owner of Family Dental Care. I graduated from Loyola University with a BSN in 1976 and worked in a variety of settings as a registered nurse. I love working with people and wanted to continue in a profession that allowed patient care and patient teaching, so I went back to school in 1986 at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry and graduated from there in 1990. I started working with my father, Dr. Kenneth Anderson at Family Dental Care, in 1990,  a practice that he had built up since 1954. I bought the practice from my Dad in 1996, and he continued to work with me until 1997. The practice had been on the Northwest Side of Chicago since 1967, but in January of 2002, I moved the practice to its current location at 912 Busse Hwy, Park Ridge Illinois. We continue to grow and are proud to serve the  Park Ridge, Des Plaines, Mt. Prospect, Arlington Heights, Niles, Edison Park, Norwood Park and many other Chicago-land communities’ dental and oral health care needs. In 2005,  Dr. Carolyn Demas joined me and  has been a great asset to Family Dental Care Park Ridge and to the community. Family Dental Care Park Ridge continues to work to meet the needs of our patients in a caring and compassionate environment, utilizing cutting edge techniques and the highest standards of dental care.

Dr. Mathew Demas

My name is Matthew Demas and I am a dentist at Family Dental Care Park Ridge. I completed my education at the University of Illinois College of Dentistry. I have been working at Family Dental Care Park Ridge since June of 2010 and I am excited each day to bring my professionalism and dental experience to this well established practice.

As a dentist, I believe it is our professional responsibility to be involved in the community in which we work in. I have had the wonderful opportunity to be involved in several organizations that aimed to improve the general and oral health of the residents in the surrounding areas. My experiences have taught me to treat not only the dental needs of patients, but the overall health needs as well.

I believe that it is also important to be a part of the dental community in which we work in. I am an active member of several organizations, including the American Dental Association, the Chicago Dental Society, the Illinois State Dental Society and the Academy of General Dentistry. These organizations give me the resources to enhance my skills through dental networking and continuing education. I have completed many courses in areas such as oral surgery, endodontics, implantology and esthetic dentistry. These organizations have also given me the opportunity volunteer for programs such as Give Kids a Smile and Special Olympics-Special Smiles.

Dentistry can only be successful if a trusting dentist-patient relationship is established. I believe this is achieved through treating someone as a person first, and a patient second. I strive to keep my patients comfortable and well informed about their dental health.
