What’s All of the Excitement About?

To say that 2012 has been a busy year for Family Dental Care Park Ridge is an understatement.  As you probably know, Family Dental Care Park Ridge has undergone some really wonderful and amazing changes in our constant effort to provide you and your family with the best possible dental care available.  We have always taken pride in the fact that we maintain exceptional quality of care utilizing the very latest in dental technology to work together with you so that you have optimal dental health.

While the move to our new office was certainly a great way to start 2012, there’s even bigger news to share with you now.  Our wonderful Dr. Carolyn Demas, who has been with Family Dental Care Park Ridge for over six years, is happily expecting her first child with her husband.  Dr. Carolyn’s baby is expected in early June and so she will be on maternity leave beginning June 1, 2012.  We are SO very excited that Dr. Carolyn is having the first Family Dental Care Park Ridge baby and we can’t wait to watch as she and her husband embark on this very exciting new journey.  Meanwhile, Dr. Carolyn and I have handpicked the very best possible dentists to join the practice so that we can continue to provide you the compassionate and exceptional dental care that you have come to expect here.   And while Dr. Matt Demas will continue to provide you with the incredibly excellent clinical skills that he has demonstrated to you over the past two years, we want to introduce some of the new members of the Family Dental Care Park Ridge team.

Some of you have already met Dr. Lindsay Diaz and have become enamored by her expertise and her delightful warmth and humor.  Dr. Lindsay has been in the dental healthcare industry for almost 9 years, first as a dental hygienist and then as a dentist.  Dr. Lindsay graduated from Marquette University School of Dentistry, where, I was fortunate to be one of her clinical instructors.  It was there that I came to realize Dr. Lindsay’s gift with patients and her excellent clinical skills.  We couldn’t be happier to have Dr. Lindsay join the practice.

If you came to our Open House, you also had a chance to meet Dr. Jenny Baruch.  Dr. Jenny has also been in the dental healthcare industry for over 8 years, first as a dental assistant, a career which she continued as she worked while in dental school at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in Ann Arbor, and then as a dentist.  I happen to have a soft spot in my heart for the University of Michigan School of Dentistry.  It is an amazing institution and the dentists that come out of their program are highly skilled with impressive ethical standards.  We are thrilled to have Dr. Jenny join the practice.

And if that wasn’t enough, we are so excited to finally be in an office space that allows us the joy of having our own dental hygienist.  Many of you have already met the very warm, outgoing and outstanding Mary Kaye Lavorato.  If you ask her how she came to Family Dental Care Park Ridge, she will tell you that she found us via YouTube.  She saw one of the videos that I was posting on the progress of our construction here and she thought she would take a chance and reach out to me asking if we needed a hygienist!! And the rest, as they say, is history!  We love having Mary Kaye…her positive energy makes our office buzz with happiness!

We have also added two fabulous dental assistants in addition to our wonderful Irene and Margaret who most of you have known for years.  We now have Laima and Jes who will also assist the doctors in their care of you and will make you feel comfortable and relaxed.  We really hit the jackpot when we got Laima and Jes to join Irene and Margaret!

I can’t tell you how special each of these gifts of people enriching the practice is to me.  I am so grateful for each of my staff and I am always appreciative of your trust and confidence in Family Dental Care Park Ridge.  Thank you!
